Sales in the first half of 2016 amounted to €1,355 million, an increase of 6.3% on the corresponding period in 2015. On a like-for-like basis, sales growth was 1.6%. Net profit for the first six months was €28 million, down 3.4% compared with the corresponding period in 2015.
Koen Slippens, CEO: "As expected, growth in both our markets is improving gradually. In the foodservice market, there is still a major discrepancy in sales growth between the various market segments. In both business units, we saw an improvement in sales growth in the second quarter.
